“Scootering doesn’t look safe, but I felt safe with Thuy and Van. Not only did I have fantastic food at all of our stops, I learned about the food and history. There were two non-food stops, one which included a nice stroll through a residential area, which I loved seeing how people live, at home in the evenings and with the kids running around. I also got to see the flower market. My favorite dishes were the beef stew, Vietnamese pizza and coconut ice cream, especially the presentation and that it included the coconut water. “This trip doesn't include hotel pick up, which we didn't spot when we were looking, not a problem for us but beware. Guide was very charming and knowledgeable and her English was superb, a lovely guide to have. Apart from the one tunnel that everyone has the opportunity to go through, we were able to go through tunnels connecting the kitchen and meeting room as well. As said before, although busy, the guide was able to navigate us round so we had chance to see everything without being overcrowded. Driver did an excellent job negotiating the HCM traffic.”

“The very short traditional boat ride through the palms alongside the river was nice. The trip to the coconut farm was ok, as was the bee farm. The lunch was average, albeit, the fish was good. We ended up stranded on the island where we had lunch due to bad weather, which resulted in the rest of the day being very rushed, however this can’t be helped. The trip through the traditional village was strange, as was watching the singers. All in all, was good value.”

“The pagoda was my main reason for this tour but the only give you 25 minutes to visit and appreciate the beauty of the site. But we spend like an hour leaning how to peel a coconut. Nobody cares about the coconuts! Give people more time in the pagoda. It is a shame that we spend so much time traveling this far to run thru an important sight like the Vinh Trang pagoda. I’m being generous with the 3 stars.”
