The highlight for me was climbing the 800 steps to see the huge Jesus statue. 5 of the group did it, and even though it was very hot, we all managed it. There were plenty of rest stops along the way and the view from the inside of the statue was amazing. Just another 100 steps or so to the top. You cannot take water up ( but you can purchase it near the top), so a few just discretely took a bottle. Just don't let the lady at the bottom see…”
